A new partnership
Already a popular B to B service, liftshare help thousands of work colleagues across the UK find lifts to and from work. in 2015, DigitasLBi joined forces to help bring this proposition to the masses.
Targetting a broad audience
Tapping into the sharing economy, liftshare enables those travelling to events such as a festival, a football match or even to catch a flight, to find each other and split the fuel costs.
Our vision for Liftshare is to solve transport poverty by being first to mind for anyone looking to go on a trip or journey.
Finding your ride
The new app marks Liftshare’s evolution from an online community, to a fully-fledged marketplace supporting online booking, cashless payments, peer-to-peer messaging and status updates.
Divided into two, the homescreen supports both those looking for a lift - denoted by the green theme - or those willing to offer a ride.

Offering a lift
We know that in the UK especially, offering a lift to strangers isn't as accepted culturally as other countries within Europe. Offering a lift allows the driver to specify some preferences which give more control over the kind of passengers they are willing to accept in their car.

Partnering up
Searching for lift listings is as imple as enteriing your destination. You can then view each driver, their travelling habits and frequency before requesting a ride.

The drivers can easily post a ride. While arranging they are able to set preferences such as allowing food or pets onboard.
Connecting
Upcoming lifts & chat
Drivers and passengers can connect through the app via the chat interface. Each trip a driver offers has its dedicated area for requests where the driver can choose who gets a ride and communicate about the finer details, or just get to know each other a bit more.
